Through this lockdown I have learned that there are so many things I am capable of living without… but family and friends are the necessities of life. Their support, love and kindness are invaluable during difficult times. Thinking of all the families and this one in particular who are not able to physically be together during lockdown, grateful though that through technology we are able to keep in touch.

Coetzees ➳ Family Portraits / by Abigail Smith
You never have to wait for a momentous occasion to capture special memories with your family. Mom has always wanted to have portraits done with her family and with having to wait 7 years for their new baby it was a momentous occasion! They are a sweet, close and loving family who love to laugh and Brian is probably going to be the most incredible brother in the world, he’s already so in love with Elkin.

My last newborn session before lockdown :( I was really looking forward to doing an in-hospital “Fresh 48” session with Amelie and her beautiful family but unfortunately hospital policies became stricter and it wasn’t possible, so we ended up doing a quick session in my studio with her and her family. Amelie is just 4 days new here and isn’t she such a pretty baby?

This Covid-19 lockdown is killing me… no sweet little babes to oogle over and photograph! At least I still have some pre-lockdown captures to edit to tide me over while we wait this out! This little guy was such a pleasure to work with even at 18 days old, my favourite is the capture of him in the basket 💕

Kenneth & Roxy were just amazing to work with, the snuggles and giggles and chemistry between them!
I'm counting the days until your wedding later this year!
