Family sessions are an invitation to pause, to witness the love you live every day, and to preserve it for the future. These photographs are not just for the present—they become a legacy. The joy, the laughter, the tenderness, the way you hold each other when no one else is watching… it’s all worth remembering. People never say they have too many family photos. Years from now, these images will be the touchstones you reach for—the reminders of who you were, how you felt, and how much you loved. They become a gift to yourselves, and to the generations who come after.

FAQ

Why is family photography an investment?

Family photos aren’t just pictures—they’re tangible memories of a season of life that passes too quickly. They preserve connection, love, and laughter for generations. People never say they have too many family photos. Years from now, you’ll be grateful you captured this chapter of your story.

When is the best time for a family session?

Families often love sessions in the late afternoon or early evening for soft, golden light. We can also choose a season that feels special to your family. The goal is to capture your connection, not a perfect schedule.

Where do sessions take place?

Family sessions are held on location in the Richards Bay / Empangeni area. If you’d like a session at Mtunzini Beach, we can arrange it for a small additional travel fee. We choose locations that offer beautiful light and natural settings, ensuring your family’s connection and joy are captured in the most flattering, timeless way.

What if the weather doesn’t cooperate on the day of our session?

If the weather isn’t suitable for an outdoor session, we’ll simply reschedule. Your experience matters, and I want your session to feel relaxed and enjoyable, not rushed or stressful. We’ll keep an eye on the forecast together and choose a new date with the best light and conditions, so your family’s moments are captured beautifully.

What should we wear?

Choose clothing that reflects your family’s personality. Soft, neutral colours, comfortable fabrics, and minimal patterns often photograph beautifully. Avoid overly matching outfits—the goal is connection, not coordination.

How many people can be included?

Pricing covers up to 5 people, with an additional R50 per person beyond that. This makes it easy to include grandparents, extended family, or a beloved friend while keeping the session relaxed and enjoyable.

How long after the session will we receive our images?

Images are carefully edited to capture each person’s personality and your family’s natural connection. You’ll receive your high-resolution images via a private online gallery within 3–4 weeks.
