Mtunzini beach maternity session
There is something incredibly beautiful about the season of waiting for a baby.
Before the tiny fingers, sleepy cuddles, and first smiles, there is this quiet chapter filled with anticipation, wonder, and a love that already exists before you have even met your little one.
I had the privilege of capturing Thembeka and Siya as they celebrated the final days before welcoming their baby boy, Izwilenkosi, into their family.
A fun-loving couple with a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors, their connection was so evident throughout their session. Their relationship is filled with joy, support, and the kind of partnership that says, “we’re in this together.” Two people walking side by side as they step into one of life’s most beautiful adventures: becoming parents.
For Thembeka, this pregnancy has been filled with precious memories she never wants to forget. One of the moments she will always treasure is feeling her baby’s first kick, that first little reminder that there was a new life growing within her.
She shared that having time away from work to fully embrace this season of motherhood has been a blessing. A chance to slow down, be present, and experience the wonder of carrying her baby.
Becoming a mother is a deeply meaningful journey. For Thembeka, it is the beautiful gift of nurturing a life and a blessing from God. Her joy and gratitude for this little girl already surrounded her long before she arrived.
One of the things that made this session especially meaningful was the personal touches they brought along. Their faith is an important part of their family story, and they included beautiful reminders of the foundation they hope to build for Izwilenkosi, including a Bible and a little book about God for their baby.
These details may seem small, but they tell such a powerful story. They speak of prayers already whispered, hopes already carried, and a love that began long before their baby entered the world.
Maternity photography is about so much more than remembering what you looked like during pregnancy. It is about remembering who you were in that moment.

As the evening light softened and the sky turned shades of pink, we spent time capturing not only beautiful portraits but the connection between two people preparing to meet their greatest blessing.
